I’m a complete beginner. Which kit is the best one to start with?

Pierre the Penguin is quite the popular Wooble, but really all of our beginner kits are made for beginners! Don’t believe us? Check out what other beginners have been up to in our Facebook community.

Do I need a hook to crochet?

Yep! Please remember to select the “With crochet hook” option when you checkout.

What comes with a kit?

Each kit comes with enough materials to make one Wooble:

  • Step-by-step video tutorials that teach you how to crochet your Wooble
  • Yarn that’s been pre-started so you can jump into learning the basic stitches
  • Stuffing
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers
  • 10mm safety eyes
  • 4mm crochet hook (for an extra charge)
  • Pattern as a PDF digital download

You’ll also receive unlimited support over email and SMS.

What is the yarn in your kits made of?

Our custom-made Easy Peasy Yarn™ is 75% cotton and 25% nylon. We call it Easy Peasy Yarn™ because it makes it easy peasy to learn crochet with.

How long does a beginner kit take?

Everyone crochets at a different speed. We’ve heard from complete beginners that our beginner kits take anywhere between 3-8 hours.

Can kids do your kits?

It’s the answer we all dread – it depends. Our kits are made for kids 12+. Some factors that affect how easily a child can learn how to crochet are: how much they dabble in arts and crafts already, how much hand eye coordination they have, and how well they can learn physical skills from either video or photo + written content.

Can lefties do your kits?

Yup! Every beginner kit comes with both right- and left-handed step-by-step guides, plus all of our tutorial videos are available for both righties and lefties.

Can I buy your kits in-person at stores?

Yup, you can buy select Woobles beginner crochet kits in-person at stores throughout the US. Check out our list of stockists.

If you’d like to be able to snag a Wooble at your favorite local store, ask them to check out our wholesale page or contact us at wholesale@thewoobles.com.

I’m giving a kit as a gift. Will my giftee have access to the pattern and tutorials?

Yep! The instructions to get to the pattern and tutorials will be on the back of the card that comes with their kit. No need to forward any emails 😊

Can I buy the pattern by itself?

We no longer sell patterns because we wanted to focus on the end-to-end experience though you’ll still be able to access patterns through our book, Crochet Amigurumi for Every Occasion. You can order it directly from Amazon.

Can I buy extra yarn or eyes for your collab kits?

At the moment, these are only available as part of the kits.

What languages are the kits available in?

Right now, our tutorials are only available in English.

How can I get notified when a sold-out item is back in stock?

To be the first to hear about restocks of your favorite Woobles, go to its product page and click the ‘TELL ME WHEN IT’S BACK‘ button. This lets us know you’re interested and guarantees you’ll be one of the first to know when it’s available again. Plus, the more people who sign up for the waitlist, the more likely it is we’ll restock that kit.

Can I sell finished items made from your patterns?

Only in small quantities and only if you give pattern credit to The Woobles. You must also use your own photos to sell your work.

Can you include a gift message?

We love seeing the gift of Woobles being shared, but we don’t have gift messages at this time. But don’t worry, your giftee won’t know how much you spent since we also don’t have prices on our packaging.

Do you have Gift Cards?

Yup, we do! Check out our digital gift cards here.

Do you offer a bulk discount?

We’re happy to offer a discount on orders of 10+ kits. E-mail us at bulk@thewoobles.com to learn more.

Do you offer wholesale?

Shipping

What’s your shipping policy?

We offer free standard shipping within the US on orders over $50, and to Canada on orders over $75 USD. Customers are responsible for paying all applicable taxes and duties. You can read the full shipping policy here.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship only to the US and Canada. We’re still working on ways to ship to more countries and hopefully, we’ll be able to soon.

When will my order ship?

We send orders out within a few business days. We’re based in NC, so the further you are from NC, the longer it’ll take.

For orders going to Canada, please allow an extra 2-3 weeks for your package to arrive. Packages are sent out of the US by FedEx, and once they reach Canada, they’re handed off to Canada Post. Your tracking info will update once your package clears Canadian customs.

Do I need to pay customs duties on my order?

For orders to Canada, customers are responsible for paying all applicable taxes and duties.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Right now, we’re not set up for super-speedy shipping because our small business is bustling with orders. Our warehouse crew is hustling to get your Woobles out ASAP.

Orders and Returns

How do I track my order?

Once your package is on its way, look out for an email with the subject “We’re wooblin’ on your order” that includes your tracking number. Make sure to check your spam/junk folders if you don’t see this email in your inbox. If you still can’t find it, email or text us with your order number.

What’s your return policy?

You’ve got 14 days from when you receive your kits to return them. Shipping costs aren’t refundable, and you’ll be responsible for return shipping. To start a return, email returns@thewoobles.com with your order number and reason for return.

We’ll let you know once we’ve received and inspected your return if the refund is approved. If it is, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Remember, it might take a bit for your bank or credit card to process the refund. Read the full return policy here.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Yup, as long as your order is still processing, hasn’t been packed up, and a label hasn’t been created. Just a heads up, we can’t guarantee changes or cancellations once it’s placed. Please reach out to us at help@thewoobles.com as quickly as possible, and we’ll do our best!

Can I update the billing address on my order after purchase?

Once an order is placed, we can’t update the billing address. If your payment went through and you got a confirmation email, it means all’s well and your order will be sent out, hiccup free!

What should I do if my order has an address issue and was returned?

If your package was returned because of an incorrect address, send us the correct address so we can send a replacement to the right place.

What do I do if my package says it’s been delivered but I haven’t received it?

If your package is marked as delivered but you don’t have it:

  • Wait a few more days – it might still be in transit
  • Check with family, neighbors, or building management in case it was sent to someone else nearby by mistake
  • Verify your shipping address with us
  • Contact your local post office, since they might have it for pickup.

If you’ve tried these steps and still haven’t gotten your package, let us know.

How can I get my order confirmation if I entered the wrong email?

If you think you entered the wrong email when placing your order, reach out to us with your shipping address and phone number. We’ll update your email address on file and resend the order confirmation to you.

What do I do if my order is damaged or missing items?

If your order is defective or damaged, you received the wrong item, or if something’s missing, reach out to us so we can make it right.

Kit & Crochet Help

I lost the password for my kit

Don’t worry, where there’s a Wooble there’s a way!

  1. Go to learn.thewoobles.com
  2. Pick the kit you bought
  3. Tap “Lost the password?”

A box will pop up with questions for you to answer so that one of our Wooble experts can help find your password.

I bought a kit. How do I get started?

Congrats! You’ve taken step one towards learning a new lifelong skill 🎉 To get started with your kit:

  1. Go to learn.thewoobles.com
  2. Click on the Wooble you have
  3. Type in the password. The password is on the back of the card that came in your kit.

Feeling a little nervous? Don’t be! If you make a mistake, 1) know this is totally normal whenever you’re learning something new, and 2) you can always just tug on the yarn connected to the yarn ball to reset to the pre-started piece.

Looking for more encouragement? Check out what your fellow Wooblers have been up to and ask questions over at our Facebook community.

I’m having trouble scanning my QR code.

So sorry about that! To get to your tutorial without using a QR code, head over to learn.thewoobles.com/ and search for your kit. Then type in the password on the back of the card in your kit. And if you’ve got an extra minute, we’d love to hear from you so we can fix it for future Wooblers!

I’m having trouble accessing the tutorial

Alright Woobler, brace yourself. It’s about to get a little technical.

First, try a hard refresh to reload the page.

  • For Windows: Hold down Ctrl and press F5
  • For Mac: Hold ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift, then press R. Or hold ⇧ Shift and click the Reload button

If that doesn’t work, try a different browser or use a private/incognito session.

If that still doesn’t work, email help@thewoobles.com with the following details. It can seem like a lot, but the more info we have, the better we can help you:

  1. A screenshot of the problem
  2. How you encountered the error (e.g., scanned the QR code on the card with my iPhone, which led to https://learn.thewoobles.com/ on Safari, and got a blank white page).
  3. Your device (e.g., iPhone 13 Pro, Windows 10 desktop)
  4. Your browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari)
  5. Copy-paste the URL from your browser’s bar
  6. Let us know if you’re using an ad blocker, and if so, which one
My yarn has a knot in it

Knots are pretty normal in the yarn spinning and dyeing process, so you’ll bump into them now and then. The good news is – they’re knot hard to deal with! Since you’re making amigurumi, just hide the knot inside your piece. Keep crocheting until the knot is on the inside (the “wrong side” in crochet speak). If the knot ends up outside, cut it out and follow this video on how to add a new ball of yarn to your project. Learn more about knots here.

There’s something wrong with my kit
